Falcon
College of Hotel Management and Tourism was founded with a
mission to provide excellence in hotel management education to
support the growth of the hospitality industry in the region.
The hospitality industry in Abu Dhabi and the region as a whole
is flourishing and employers require bright, capable people to
complement their teams. The Hotel Management and Tourism program
at Falcon College is designed to meet this need. The program
focus is on the development of industry specific knowledge,
business foundations and leadership skills that will help to
open the door to operational and supervisory level opportunities
within this industry. To ensure graduates are prepared for the
exciting opportunities within this industry, Falcon College has
designed this program to meet the educational guidelines as set
forth by the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Higher Education &
Scientific Research.

will offer the highest quality of excellence in academic
programs that are recognized in the United Arab Emirates and

Falcon College of Hotel Management & Tourism is affiliated to
the world renowned “César Ritz” Colleges Switzerland which
offers one of the top hotel management training educational
programs in Europe. “César Ritz” was the first to combine the
art of Swiss hospitality with contemporary international
business management education.

1850 in Valais, Switzerland, was the founder of the famous Ritz
hotels. He revolutionized the hospitality industry by setting

The program
Falcon College works closely with leaders in the hospitality
industry in the UAE and GCC to ensure students are prepared for
their future careers. Practical, hands on experience is
integrated with theoretical studies so students learn all
aspects of the hotel industry.
The program offered at Falcon College is a two year Diploma in
Hotel Management. In the first year of studies, students learn
the practical skills of hotels along with business basics. This
prepares them for hotel positions at an operational level.
After completion of one year of academic study, students
undertake an industry placement semester in order to put the
theory learned into practice.
The second year builds on the operational knowledge and
experience gained in the first year and introduces advanced,
specialist topics. Once the students have undertaken an industry
placement, class discussions become lively; students are then
able to apply course material in the context of their own
experiences.
Falcon College offers its Diploma students the opportunity to
obtain a Bachelor of International Business in Hotel & Tourism
Management degree. The College’s affiliation with “César Ritz”
Colleges Switzerland allows college graduates to link directly
into the Bachelors program offered at the University Centre
César Ritz in Switzerland. Partial scholarships are guaranteed
to all successful Falcon College students who transfer into the
bachelor program.
Industry placements
Industry
placements are an essential part of the academic program offered
at Falcon College. These positions within the work-integrated
learning model of education have numerous benefits to students
such as gaining valuable career-related work experience; putting
theory into practice; and networking with other professionals.
Falcon College offers both work placement and full time work
assistance upon graduation to all its students. The career
planning centre makes this possible by working directly with the
industry and inviting relevant employers to ensure students know
about possible positions; inviting reputable Hotels and relevant
organizations to participate in the job fairs organized by the
centre; encouraging informational sessions given by employers to
Falcon College students and alumni on campus and scheduling
on-campus interviews for Hotels and relevant organizations to
interview students.
