The International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) is the fruition of one of the major aspirations of the contemporary global Muslim Community - to regain the ummah’s leadership in the quest for knowledge. Since its foundation in 1983 by the Government of Malaysia supported by the Organisation of Islamic Countries (OIC), and several Muslim countries, the University has kept its sights firmly on that goal.
       Currently, IIUM is home to more than 15,000 students and 2500 academic and administrative staffs members. A substantial number of them are expatriates. In all, about 100 countries are represented. Certainly, you will feel at home at IIUM

       IIUM offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes in the natural and technical sciences in addition to the humanities. These programmes are geared towards skill building and academic attainment and designed in accordance with IIUM’s model of integrated tertiary education, which is built upon the belief that knowledge must be pursued and propagated as an act of worship, in full recognition that it is a trust which the Almighty has placed upon mankind.
